Go Up Go Down

I am just going to throw this out there and am not sure if anybody will have an idea of what it is but the triangle on the upper right I have no idea. I was stumped with the long around piece with the hole in it until I went to a museum.(Anyone want to guess what it is) last the tangled looking items are Indian bracelets, these were found in a historic Indian camp in Colorado.

With nothing to judge the size, I would say a Toe or Heel Plate for boots or shoe.

That is six inches long and wide sorry should have given dimension or something in the picture to give scale.

No it is not a shoe horn good guess, the chain link would be right, the triangle may of come off a saddle, and the thin wire are bracelets.

The paper under is 8" by 11" standard copy paper. that should give some scale to it.

Looks like the toe plate of a stove top iron for pressing clothes.

hmmm.. interesting .. looks like the piece below the triangular shaped part has been torn off that triangular piece? is that correct .. if so is the triangular pice part od an anchor weight for a chain or rope attached to the eyelet of the piece underneath? possible tent peg type thing (but using a rock or log as a weight?)

but then i'm assuming the two pieces are related and having a wild guess .. lol .. interesting bits are the rivets in it .. so it was attached to something  Smiley

'd love to know what it actually was  Cool

All is relative to that they were found on an Indian camp around the 1800's the item with the hole in it is a part of a fur trader trap. the other item that is a triangle has been altered, there is a cut out rectangular on one side. it has a slight curve and has rivets some there some not. the big chain link I think is a an anchor link for a bear trap. but that triangle piece is a mystery
