Yep scout's alright, we have something similar here in Australia called a monkey fist which is made from leather thonging. scout leaders here have to make one as part of there training. the embossed rope is indicative of this and of course as has been pointed out in the states you guy's have wolf scouts, we call them cubs, but they are based on the concept of a wolf pack. good to see a few scout brothers here.
