Hi! I found 2 metal tags that are 2" long by 5/8" wide. Both read "U.S. Treasury Dept" followed by a series of 4 numbers. Anyone have any ideas what they were used for? Thanks!

Hello Chelea,

I wonder why noone has replied to you yet but those are most probably seals from a bank's money bag. I wonder how the got there. You  should probably detect carefully around that area where you found them. There could be more!

Interesting find! I have no idea what they could be used for but it probably has a good story attached to it. If only the tags could talk.............       Smiley
