What is the round object?  It's a thin metal plate with 3 tacks still in it that look like it would have been fastened into wood.

(The other object is a first communion pin found in my front yard.)

looks to me like a ornamentally decorated structual support.they were used quite frequently 100+ yrs. ago.an iron rod would run thru a brick or stone wall providing support at each level,with your subject matter at exterior end. or not! i forget the name of it.but it'll come to me as soon as i'm finished posting! Grin
