This is cool, I've never seen a coin like this.  I love finding stuff I've never seen before. I hope this is worth a crazy amount of money:)  It doesn't look like a medallion for a necklace.  I can't tell from your picture if the wheel in your coin is like the wheel in this coin, look at the two, this could lead you down the path of time period possibly:

  I searched on coins with these characteristics and I couldn't find anything closer that what is in the link above: chariot, cart, wooden wheel, cobblestone... Good luck!!
