hello.. i'm newby here...

i just want to know about of this thing, look like a large soldier helmet or may be this use'd for an outdoor cooking ware, made of a very hard metal, size of 33 inches wide diameter, 14 inches height, thick 1/4 inch, stainless color.

the owner found this thing at a river side when he was a kid at age 13, now his at 64 years old.
and he said their was a guy took a gun shooting successively pointing that thing after shooting it was only left impression from a firing bullets leave a dents,
and also their has a body mark it look like a chinese or japanese characters, but not reaally clear cause of fading away.

may be you have more idea about this thing... thanks!

Hello July and welcome to the Thunting forum.

The item you posted looks like a wok to me. Both the Chinese and Japanese use a vessel like this for stir frying. It's a little hard to tell with the tiny photos, but that's my best guess.
