I melted it and dropped it in water.
Did the same with a fishing weight.
Lead is MUCH softer and has a dull grey hue.
I'm going with silver until I get a kit and can test it.
The part that flattened out on the porcelain came out like a mirror.

The bits on top are lead.

Hey, update...NOT silver.
Took it out in natural light and the color is wrong.
I'm thinking it was a base cast metal for a silver plated object or something.
Don't know much about alloys but this stuff has pretty much identical weight and hardness of silver but not the amber like tint that real silver has.
