Hello,
I found these two guys months back and been having some trouble trying to figure out where they came from. Undecided
Does anybody recognize them ? Are they game pieces ?
Theres no inscriptions and their little over 2 1/2 inches tall, I think they might be pewter, not sure  Huh?
Any info greatly appreciated.  Teach
Thanks,
Wolfy

Nope no writing,
Thanks for the replies,
Aren't most knights in chess represented by a horse ?  Huh?

I seen that set for sale years ago some place.

Thought it was cool.

Yes the Night is represented by a horse in most sets.

If the base have some writing on the backside, they may be toys included in the famous "Kinder egg" metal figurines collector series from the early 80's.
There was cowboys, pirates and knights.

Niobium may be right since I have seen similar pieces, but I favor homefire's knight and pawn from a chess set theory..... As pointed out, the traditional chess symbol is either a horse's head or a mounted figure, but that's only tradition---not a requirement.  All the matters is that the piece be recognizeable in the set.  In this case, the knight is clearly recognizeable by both size and design as a knight and not a pawn, bishop, queen, or king.
