Go Up Go Down

I just made the order today from a company in Florida Cool you know who I mean! Anyway just wondering if anyone out there uses the 4x6 with a M6 and how do you like it? I found a baseball park in my community and have been hitting it hard. I have found 3 buff's, one merc, eight Wheaties three silver WWII nickels, an 1887 penny, and one 1926 Canada silver dime? how the heck did it get way down here to Texas?  This has been the best spot I have hunted and have found the third base line is full of trash and figured the little 4x6 would do a great job here. What do you guys think?

Small coils will find small items but at a lesser depth, it could help you pin-point the good stuff but then I have never used a small coil myself so I can't talk with experience but only from what I've heard.

Regards
Xavier

The best discrimination is your EYES.
Big or small coil, if you are in such a good spot use no discrimination and dig up all signals.Yes its painful and take time.
But this way you will not miss a good target that may be masked by a bad one, and you will also be good to the place cleaning up the junk.
Pls post some pics of the finds

I will give it a shot. I have nothing but time as I work nights and am able to go out there just about every day for a couple hours before work. One of the silver nickels I found was about 5 inches and on edge and I gave a weird signal but I decided to dig it anyway. Boy was I glad I did! I will try to figure out how to post pics in a day or two. Thanks!

That coil will get down between 4 and 6 inches but it will take you along time to get an area done,, Its great for extremely trashy areas. if theres junk every 6 inches or so I would use the 6x9 and the little 5.3 will go to about 9 inches+ on un disturbed ground, the 5.3 will find specks of gold and I mean specks the 4x6 shooter coil you are on about looses about 3 to 4 inches compared to the 5.3 concentric (6 inches across) its as deep as the 6x9 if the ground isnt to hot (mineralized)

hope this helps

I will see how the 4x6 turns out. May end up buying the 5.3 also.
