I think that even with these modern machines, Tesoro's are still King at finding Celtic staters and Hammered coins and I wonder how the heck they got so much in that tiny box, but they did, even now I always keep my eyes on the guys swinging the Tesoro's. when I am out detecting because if anyone is going to find it they will.

What's wrong with you? You were supposed to argue!

I have a few Tesoro models but the Compadre always comes with me no matter what. Best back up machine that doubles as a primary machine ever invented.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Wasn't the Hand of Faith found with the same model Garrett as Yours, ??

If so you can forget about all the minelab 5000 and the GPZ 7000 coz that makes Garrett Number ONE in my books, and the World Rocord Holder  Great

Yeh, it wasn't buried that deep, and with a whopper that size I could have found it with my Radio Shack BFO. Grin

that's for sure, These 2 TDIs would see it at about 5 feet down with the standard coils, possibly 6 feet ??

It sure was. Garrett never lets you forget it either. But over in Western Australia those big nuggets are a real nuisance. You try to put up a fence and you have a pile of them to get rid of. We use them for door stops, paperweights and let kids kick them around in the streets.

Grin Grin Grin  That would not be such a bad thing if the kids would put their toys away when they finish playing with them, I am forever telling Jr about it, Angry
