Excellent info. Thanks. MXT 300 to a MXT Pro might then be worth an upgrade.

Well the ground Grab button is worth the extra dough alone, for prospecting I would use the little 5.3 concentric coil because it can see bits down to 0.09 grains or 0.003 grams and my favourite DD is the Detech 14x10 Excelerator EQ Pro2 coil because it adds 2 or 3 inches over the factory 10"DD on a US Quarter and the bigger the target the bigger the difference and it can see bits that weight as small as 0.02 grams but the best thing it weighs the same as the factory 10"DD, But it balances a whole lot better due to the mounting position. I paid about $130.00 US for mine

J

Took a gander on Crigslist last night and son of a gun if there wasn't a mint condition MXT ALL Pro with extra coil, Lesche digger, carry case etc for $400. And it was only about 10 miles up the coast. Sent a text message and .... yep....it was a gonner already.

That's a shame, sorry about that, they don't seem to hang around long.

There are a couple on UK Ebay but I can't remember how much they are going for ?.

I hope you find one soon, I think they are worth it because they seem to work where ever I have taken then and take out any of the guess work as with other machines,

good luck,

J.

I can get into enough trouble in the mean time with the MXt300 and a 950.  In the meanwhile, been playing with a Vaquero. That little sucker is one neat machine. Seems to be a nickle magnet

Funny you say that I saw a guy do something pretty incredible with a little Tesoro silver (something) where he found a big steel plough blade and ground balanced it out or disced it out and then he put an ting 1/4" celtic gold coin on it and the little Tesoro ignore the plough and hit the coin   Shocked

that was a shock I can tell ya,
