Go Up Go Down

Hi again ppl,
My mate that gave me my detector has just called in with his Coinmaster 6000/D and he has no idea really how good it is or how to use it as when he got it off eBay, there was no instruction manual with it. Can anyone give us some feedback on this detector and info on how good it is and or reviews. Anyone out there ever used one that can give him some pointers on it as he says it doesn't seem to be working right. It has loads of dials and switches and is USA made so has to be way better than mine. Being new to all this I can't give him much info and I am hoping that you learned lot can. Thanks in advance, Z.

Thanks, but I have found the manual and downloaded it for him and his is the 6000/D GBE. We will be setting it up properlly today and doing some testing with it later on hopefully. I will get him to join the forums as he will be the friend that I will be doing most of my detecting with. We can hopefully, learn from each other and between the two machines, miss hardly anything. Ok, been a slight change, my mate realised after going through the manual that it is way to complicated for him and has just sold it to me for $150.00 and said pay him when I can. So from 1 week ago without a detector apart from the old al'cheapo dick smiths toy that I have had for ages, I now have two. I have just been through the manual and did everything that it said to do in setting it up, the Coinmaster that is, and have a problem I am hoping some of u can help me with. There is no difference in the tone when testing with a coin but there is a significant difference on large objects. It should be registering with a coin! Would this mean that the coil is on its way out or is there something else that I am over looking. I know it is a complicated machine and I got loads to learn from it but the one thing I already love is that I can discriminate out salt water so beach fossicking will be loads better. not to mention all the other neat stuff that it will discriminate out with the right settings.
Here isa  a link to a simplified manual for this machine so u all know exactly what I got.

Also, can this machine get any other heads for it. Thanks agin for all your help. Hopefully soon, I will have some decent finds to show off and boast about. Smiley Z.
