The 6000 di will work.  Read the manual about ground balancing, discrim, & dealing with hot rocks.  Get some small pinch on fish weights (they approximate a gold signature).  Get a bag of ironite from the garden shop and mix it into the soil (makes the ground very hot like in the real world).
