I cant see any difference between the Spectra V3i and the Spectra Vision, There must be diffrences but I cant find a full spec sheet on the Whites home page.

O ic
So the Spectra vision came out before the V3i
That makes sense, What through me was on the whites video the machine was labled Spectra Vision, The only ones I've seen for sale out of them models have been 1st the V3, then shortly after the 3Vi.
So am i correct in saying that the Spectra Vision is infact the V3, Or have I miss read what you wrote on here.
I was understanding that the Spectra Vision was there latest machine, very confusing lol :Smiley

All the best

Dave

Many moons ago Whites made an Eagle spectrum and then the DFX and XLT was born, Then they bought out the V3 Vision spectra
or spectra vision back in 2008/9 then they bought the V3i and all they did was some software changes which is a real good
lot of up dates, And this makes the V3/V3i the first detector that can be updated for as long as the company wants to keep
making it and even the old ones can be bought up to the latest specs, and in reality they could make it for 50 yrs and just
bring out new software every 2 yrs, now thats cool.

Yes that is cool providing they do carry on with upgrades, that remains to be seen, it was said within the metal detecting circles that when the DFX  was produced that was also going to be software upgradeable but didn't seem to happen, but saying that time moves on other models come out, its not just metal detectors it applies to most manufacturing industries.

Thanks for clearing my confusion up AU its as i originally thought until i looked at that link that was put on here

Your welcome Dave, Whites have up graded the MXTs to a degree, and at leased we know that Whites have and can
do up grades to it, Do you know they still have some parts for machines they made 20 yrs ago, which restores my faith

Totally agree with you AU there back up service is excellent, i noticed they were selling off spares parts for some of there older detectors IE switches knobs etc for there earlier productions, you don't see that with the other bigger producers.
As i stated on a previous post, I don't think whites ever produced a bad machine.

I'm going to have one more smoke and a cup of tea then its bed, I got the dentist tomorrow 2 fillings, Lips Sealed then work if I'm up for it.

Its nice having a chat
