Whites Spectra V3, DFX

Hello
I just joined the board and I am looking for advice.  I have used Whites DFX detectors for years and loved them.  A few months ago I sold one and bought a new Whites Spectra V3.  I live in western NC which has very mineralized soil and have quickly found out that it is almost impossible to equate the settings from the DFX to the Spectra.  Is there anyone out there that can give me a really good set of settings for the Spectra to start from?  My prob in most cases suggest 2 or 3 most times for RX gain and I usually use 10high or 12high for filter.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Deacon

I'm pretty sure White's has a forum dedicated to that machine.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Here you go - there are two main forums that deal with the V3 and the V3i - both are very good and the regulars are very helpful:
