Hello my friend...this old machine-but good- from 1987, was working fine before.
Before some days, i have  this problem.
First I press on.....then press AIR, I take beeps and stay at this point.
When it was working, the next step was GROUND BUTTON and then I were ready for hunting.
(Sorry for my English writing) .....Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick

Did you open it up to see if there was any visible damage? if not then open it and look for broken wires, loose connections and dry joints, if the IC's are in a socket press them down to make sure that they did not work there way out with time.

All the best
Xavier

Hello and thank you for the answer, but all above are correct. I don't know what to do. Can I find the printed board from someone friend who haw this machine, which don't work for other reason...broken display or bad coil etc. It's very difficult to find a solution for this from Greece(so far).
Best regards.
Nick the Greek

Nick you will have to do a search on the net or try and get hold of the manufacturer, actually we don't even know what machine it is that you have.

I don't know what to do

I used to have the exact same machine.
I had to send it to whites to be repaired, with a very similar problem.
The fix was a new key pad.
Apparently moisture gets to the pad and corrodes the contacts. On the outside look good but not all keys work
Whites should still keep stock
Send them an email describe the problem to them; I am sure they will be able to help.
They are VERY GOOD

Whites UK in Scotland have new Pods/switches/dash boards in stock the last time I spoke to them and I think the model you are talking about is the Whites Eagle II SL or maybe the SL90,It has two rows of push buttons one either side of the Meter,

good luck, AU
