Hey Pete, I would be interested in any links you have to your hookah videos or information as I am looking to get setup for that this next year.  Appreciate the assistance.  Waveing

Great videos on your site, really appreciate them.  It looks like you assembled the components for your hookah setup separately and then built the unit.  Is that the case? Also, do you have any trouble with the float tipping over?  Have you ever considered or seen a pontoon setup?  I plan on doing some Hookah diving this next year.  Any recommendation as to the best place to buy the components?  Thanks, Randy

Fisher CZs, Gold Bug 1&2, Whites Dual Field

Go Up Go Down

I run Fisher CZs and a Whites Dual Field. The CZs can hit rings and quarters down to 18" or so with a nice solid signal on normal salwater beaches (10.5" coil). The Dual Field goes deeper, but the signals are not as strong or as obvious as they are on the CZs. The main reason I use it is for the black sand beaches; the sand here is really black and I can't even balance the CZs some days. The Dual Field is a great machine, but the learning curve is much longer then a turn-on-and-go unit, although the rewards of deep targets missed by others is well worth the time and patience. You will also need to get rid of your sand scoop and switch to a shovel with the Dual Field! You get tired of digging 2'+ holes all day with a sand scoop!

basically all metal.

Knowing it's hitting alot of metal around a general relic area such as a Civil war site, that's how or one of the important ways you narrow down the area and find the target rich sites IMO.

I can't wait to pick up a whites dual-field Pulse, I'll be using it on the East Coast salt water beaches...

Cheers,  Wink

Thanks pisto: I be just be a waddin guy, never tried scuba or anything like that and yes I have watched the videos on hookah. Interesting. I've seen the Anderson tape to, good video. What would you suggest as for a scoop plastic, steel with mag, stainless - pole. I'm thinking wet, dry suit & of course the snorkel. 30yrs. ago a little different. "meaning" do you need any special permits for the water or do you need to go to City hall or the Parks dept. .  Good hunting T.
