No doubt Homefire. I used to go thru my own yard with different techniques five times a week before I truly found all that I would with the BH 505.
Well, I bought my four inch sniper coil and found a silver quarter and two dimes in the smae spots that I had hunted many times.
As of now, I am really torn over getting something that I can go into the water with or not. I do know of a place that should be prime territory that people have been hanging out at for dcecades but it is waiste deep and I would not just bring any detector with waterproof coils there. I would only bring a truyly scuba rated unit because I would not trust myself without the extra insurance.
I know that I could easily pay for it at this site but the detector that I have my sites set on is the excalibur but that is double my current price range. I guess that I will come across something that catches my eye sooner or later and take that step.
You see, I am really high on multi freqw units so it's tough for me to look at anything else.
Does anyone have any advice on a good used scuba rated unit besides the excalibur that uses three or more freqs at the same time and compares them through high speed logic?

Thnx for your opinion Mike. Before I started hunting, I would have never thought that so many places had been hunted so thoroughly before I started. I was always the kind of fisherman that out fished everyone else but when I transfered that tenacity over to my metal detecting, it didn't work when others beat you to the spot by a decade.
Do you like the multi freq unit's best or is there something our there that you like in particular that someone can pick up for $500US or less used?
