I just bought a used Whites Coinmaster 3900 D as a backup/loaner unit. I also have an Ace 250. I downloaded the manual, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about these machines. Are they any good? I haven't tried it out yet, but it seems solid and well built. Are there any mods that can/should be done to it? Are coils still available for it. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

There like the old Timex watches........"They take a licking, and keep on ticking".    Compared to the newer detectors, they are heavy as all get out, but they are good, rugged machines.   As long as they are well maintained, you should get better results with the Coinmaster 3900 than you would with a lot of the cheap wanna-be detectors.
