Starting to see posts on other forums today about  the new White's DFX3000 and MXT300 models.  So far from what people are posting it seems to be the same model but with different decals and outfitted with the Super 12.

Naturally with being a curious sort of person anyway I got to doing some snooping around and the way it seems it is the same machine.  The only change is the new decal on the side that says that it is a 300 model and it has the spider coil rather than the 950.  Pictures I saw look like the super 12 coil.  Nothing on whites site about it but the announcement should be soon I would think.

It should be interesting to see some reviews on these models when the reviews start coming in about them.

From what I'm hearing from other people I would think we should hear an announcement next month about the new models.  A couple of people already using them now.  Should be interesting to see some of the reviews on these "new" models.

Yeah...I saw that they had been announced.  For those of us that have the Super 12 I guess you could say that we already have the new models for a while in a sense.

i don't think the mxt or dfx is going to change much from what it is right now,
at least not for awhile.

You may be right about that.  The units are very good units.  Time will certainly tell.

Hi: Bought my DFX 300 last July thinking I could hunt everything, because it was an all around machine and GOLD was the main thing on my mind, well everything:I've heard sense then, it's not to good on GOLD! (Pause)~ I'm crying right now~~~Wished I would have researched more!! and the 12"coil makes it a 300.

A few years back I bought a DFX. Totally a noob on the detector scene I had no idea what I was getting. I have had it stashed away for quite a while but got it out today. I am curious if the 12" coil is an absolute must have, or a nice to have.

Also is there a cheatsheet with presets for all the settings, I seem to have lost my manual.  No no!

Thanks!

I'd have to agree. I'm a fairly techie guy but I'm a bit lost with all these settings. I have a chunk of quartz with a small vein in it and I can't even get it to read  Cry
