White's makes a broad range of detectors.  What specifically are you looking to get into hunting?

Hello maacdaddy . If your in the USA do not forget to search Craigslist , for sale , metal detectors .
They have much better prices than e-bay !!!  A Whites IDX pro or Eagle II can be found for $150. u.s. dollars or less !!!

The DFX  is an excellent  machine, the newer model is the DFX 300 and can be purchased for $1045 and will search deeper the MXT, The MXT is more of an all purpose machine able to find small flake gold and can be picked up for $660.
