Can anyone tell me anything about the White's Eagle PROgramable detector? I am looking into getting one but how old is it and how well does the depth go?

If you are referring to the White's Eagle Spectrum I own one and can help you out. This was the predecessor to the XLT model. It is a great detector and yes it will go very deep. At several differant soil type locations here in Indiana
I have found some silver dimes and wheat pennies at depths greater than 10 inches(one being 11 plus). Grin

Programs that fit the XLT can be used on the Eagle Spectrum and work quite well. If you buy one don't ever get rid of it. I primarily use my DFX now days, but the old Eagle Spectrum is always with me as a back-up.The Eagle Spectrim weighs about 1/2 lb. more than the XLT/DFX models with the 9.5 coil.

If you buy one and need programs e-mail me.

Thanks guys for the input. I was thinking about getting the eagle off of ebay but the time has passed. I like my detector (CZ70Pro) just fine anyway. I am just afraid the parts will become obsolete if i had to get it repaired but it would probably be the same for the eagle. I will just run the CZ70 until the wheels fall off.
