Gotcha.  I can't remember the last time I found a chain of any kind.  I am bad about record keeping, but I think it's now a requirement.  All the parks, schools, swimming areas, etc., around here have been worked over for year after year by both locals and tourist.

You won't have to keep records for long. Soon you'll have all of your machine's reactions embedded in the computer. The one between the headphones, that is.

The best advice I've ever received or given so far is, know your machine. I know all of mine now. Just added one brand new Tesoro and will do some testing over the next few days during the rain.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I have used a Tesoro in the past.  A loner from a buddy.  Very light and excellent on relics.  I could go for hours without my arm getting tired.  Might not be as spected out as the Whites but I can't find any real issues with Tesoro.  Tesoro is my second choice for a detector and I'll probably get a used one for a back up to the Whites.
