I would like some information on using non whites loops on the whites v3. Has any one used other coils not made by whites that might have more depth and ability to use higher sensitivity.  Chewy

How long have you had your Spectra V3? Sometimes, practice and slowing down to search is much better than a larger coil. Slow your sweeps down and be prepared for many more signals. Your machine is a smart one and requires a wee bit of time to analyze a target. If it doesn't have time, it doesn't give a response.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hello Chewy,

basically the standard cil will get you the best depth. Smaller coil may have better depth on smaller objects biger coils on larger objects. You probably won't eb able to use any 3rd party coil due to the tripple frequency of the V3.

Regards,

Christian

SEF coils work fine on the V3 and V3i - I have the 10x12 and 12x15.
