hi all can anyone help me,ive recently bought an XP adx250 and i am wondering what would be the best coil to buy,and also ive heard about some upgrade chips has anyone used these?

Hello, keep the standard coil it will work best. I know there is a V4 update chip for the XP Gold Maxx but think there is nnone for the ADX.

Very Very true Christian however they are times over here when the stock 9" coil is not the best coil and the users select to go eliptical especially in stubble fields. Which brings me on to a point of interest.... The standard coil can at times be difficult to swing through stubble fields. a simple solution self adhesive vinyl floor tiles cut to shape and secure using zip fasteners.
This should last a day or two in the field before replacement.

ive never tried it in salt water but im very impressed with it on land#  Detecting
