Thanks for replying so fast. Sorry you haven't gotten it yet. I go nuts waiting a week for a delivery so I can just imagine how you feel. Maybe tomorrow...
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Mike

So, I am also curious to know....

Did you receive it?

Living in Belgium, I can assure you that this machine is very popular here, and not without reasons.

It is calibrated for relic hunting, although it is also the only XP that will work fine (not perfectly !) on wet beaches.

I remeber reading the first british reviews about this one. They had just one word in mind : deprh. Shocked

Yes, definitely deeper.

Awesome !

Hello Beachcomber; No it has not arrived yet. Christian asked me about it a few days ago also. He hopefully can find out what happened to it. The one I won is the Goldmaxx Power that works on a higher frequency, so hoping it will pull out a few nuggets. Smiley

They are, as far as I can understand, completely different machines.

The XP is very popular for european relic hunting conditions, the Etrac has more universal capabilities, at least on paper.

This sounds very interesting. What exactly did you change?

Best wishes,

Christian

If you?re in amongst the iron, swith the SILENCER into 0, if the ground is relativly clean switch it into 1.
If you? not using wireless phones the keep the frequency switch in the middle (Off) position, as otherwise the transmitter would be turned on and wasting battery power for nothing, as it would be driving the wireless transmitter nad speaker or normal headphones. If you have wireless headphones, ensure to put a blanking plug in the headphone socket, or you?ll have the speaker and the headphones sounding off.
Basic starter settings are the red triangles, but if you get stuck, just PM me.
Ray

hi ray ,, done an air test on my goldmaxx today got about 9" on a hammered penny and 7 on a cut half using the settings you posted to me, increase in sens does increase depth , i suppose you have to allow for contamination of the ground and probably would not be able to maintain a high sens setting or the machine becomes unstable, would this sort of reading be within the realm of normal depth expected in the field or would less depth be the norm, i am always sceptical of how deep people say their particular machine finds coins at , i usually expect to find most of my finds in the top 4 inches of soil unless its big iron like a horse shoe or bit of bomb shrapnell etc never had a decent deep signal and recovered a keeper of any worth, thanks for your thoughts on the subject , paul
