My grandfather from the father side who lives more than hundred years and can only speak our local Igorot language and spanish once told me when i'm a little boy 'not to argue with the old ones since they drink more than you do'.. he wears G String. My grand pa from the mother side a ww2 veteran that after the war, he became a foreman for the maintenance of the Kennon road or famously called zig-zag going up to the city of Baguio once told us that the flat stone where he used to sit and rest which was situated under a tree along kennon was removed by two white man, inside the car is an old japanese guy and they all  speed away with a box. It was related to him by one of his worker, and what would that be? my grand pa believes its a part of the 'yamashita treasure'.

thanks for dropping by, i'm sure there are more stones with markings aside from that, are scattered around the area. thats kanji for sure but in our experienced we dont rely on the writings or letters we give weigh more on symbols and images engraved on the rocks, your project is positive, if its a camp or detachment of japanese soldiers during the war as per experience of others 20 to 30ft. is enough. If its a garrison its deeper than that. You are from what region? if i may.....

Cornelius,
I think you have to read the history of the Philippines during WW2 to have a better idea of how the japanese swarmed the whole country. I suggest also that you find and read the book by sterling seagraves entitled Gold Warrior. That would perhaps clear your mind of many Huh? why.  South East India is not the Philippines and who else knows better more than the detailed history of the country but the Filipinos?

that's why i do not pay much attention to those criticism, no sense of debating our pro side, cause we're just being laugh at with what we are doing. anyway, we are here to learn from each other and learn from them regarding their MD's opinion, though we don't know each other personally at least by sharing our experiences in the field thru this respectable forum that's already a big difference.
