I agree with Seldom and homefire.   Those are made by nature and not by the japanese or anyone else.   In fact they haven't even been modified by anyone.   You can keep looking for signs and keep seeing them where there aren't any, or you can spend some time reading and asking questions so you can find some real leads to real lost treasures.   There are more "signs and indicators" to be found in the library and on bookshelves than you will find chasing around looking at rocks.   And even if the Japanese did leave signs, you are more likely to know what signs to look for and where to look if you take the time to gather all the written records and letters from the time that you can.

I would agree with the others about just plain rocks. But just a few questions. What is it that you think you see? And why would it be there in a creek or river that would erode it away?
