What are they supposed to be? The pictures are not at all clear. I'm sure the reason for that is because you didn't take them. You found them on the web.

Another case of a scam in progress. For those of you just tuning in, this is what we moderators have been warning you about.

I'll believe it when I can read about it on the Federal Reserve's own websites (preferably either the New York or Boston branch).   So far the only thing I've seen mentioned on either side regarding "boxes" is "fraud".

I think to be fair, We are not asking any payment for this item, we published this to let the country where it belongs and may be as the basis to claim their gold deposit if there is any. I believe this was taken from an Asian country during the war and buried in the Philippines. How can be a scam when we are not selling this.

To be fair, it's not so much that people are accusing YOU of scamming anyone.    We think you are the victim of a scam (even if you found them, the fact that you believe they are real even though the best documented evidence from the Federal Reserve Bank says they can not possibly be real, makes you the victim of someone else's attempt to scam or defraud people).   The originator of the fraud (i.e. the person who made the boxes) may be long dead and you may have received them from a long line of people who honestly believe they are real, but that doesn't make them real.
What the moderators and the rest of the 'oldtimers' are saying is ALL the evidence available says these are not real and anyone who passes them off as being real even though they know they are not is running a scam.    A person who believes they are real when they are not is a victim of a scam.   That is probably the category you fall into.  However, if a person who believes something is real is presented with evidence that it can not be real and still insists it is real, then that person crosses the line and also becomes a scammer (even if it is only because they are too proud to admit they were wrong).

Like BA says, you are probably not the one doing the scamming but may be a victim. Something you may want to consider here is this. Why would the US make recompense to the Philippines when Japan was the country doing the looting? And why would the denomination of a single note be $500 million? That single note would represent the budget of the entire US at the time yet you have dozens of them in each box. It simply boggles the mind to put this sort of scam into perspective in any way.

I think, the $500M dollars is the total amount of the number of bonds that is inside the single mini box. The mini box contains many bonds, hence for every mini boxes the amount  of the bonds inside total to $500M. If we could ope the mini box then we could see the contains of it, but we will never open the box.
