It has been a quiet time since ive been in treasure hunting...in my property i often times told that something was in big importance way back of ancient times since coconut trees which is somewhat 90 years old or even as old as 100 years old has been marked containing vertical lines around four inches long. this small lines has all over the tree starting from 15 feet more or less and going upward...Now my question is...Is this really a trail to treasure?

GoldDigger1950:
In general, trees are not used for treasure markings that are meant to last beyond a year or two. They grow, get cut down, fall over from storms and are way too temporary on this earth. Also, they so called signs or markings are too easily altered. Most treasure signs and locations are hidden in personal diaries where the recipients are expected to be able to decode the information.

I would suggest that these markings are not treasure signs at all but either natural markings or simply random carvings by hikers or picnickers.
