Go Up Go Down

Hi guys,

Just log in today and I'm a newbie with regards to treasure hunting. And I'm fan of exploring tunnels but for gold mining, so practically I don't believe much about Yamas but I have my doubts.
I have explored one particular big tunnel which contradicts my past exploration with old abandoned tunnels and I need your help with this one as you're experienced with treasure hunting. This tunnel measured around 8'X6', drifted for 15mtrs and then backtrack 1mtr, there's the vertical shaft about 20mtrs(not sure as my flashlight got used up for 2 days exploring the area) and it has water as it made a splashing sound when I drop a stone. The entrance was landslide and has a small top hole for a person to passed through(if this is man made or animal I don't know). It has a big tall tree nearby(1.5mtr dia). The road has been covered-up(by nature or man I don't know) except for one portion which is about 20mtrs left uncovered and about 500mtrs from the site and then covered again with no hints of an existing old roads except for that 20mtrs
What I'm sure of is this tunnel is very old and not made by gold miners as it is a box type, not the one(Half moon or like the entrance of a church) used typically by miners. And this tunnel has no timbers even the shaft and is very clean(no leftover equipments or tools whatsoever).
My question is, is this or at least some hints of a Japanese tunnel? If so how do Japanese hide treasure's in a tunnel? I've heard those fake walls but I need clarification and ideas from you TH guys. Any ideas will do and thanks in advance.

Wjan.

We have a pile of people here looking for the Yammi Treasures.

We have folks that think every rock and tree bearing any natural markings is a sign.

Is that tunnel in Rock, Hard Pack gravel, Dirt?

Has gold been found in the area before that you know?

you should have brought 1 digicam with good flash. so that you could post some pics that we can appreciate. you dont need to post the gen area location but post whats inside. im sure it can generate lots of reactions and some good advice for those who have encountered what you find. ive seen one beside the river its a closed tunnel. it took three days to locate the entrance with a backhoe. but theres nothing inside only tools and war relics. our fault was not reading the stone markers properly. initially we know that there is a tunnel because of our okm findings. but what we don't know if there are cache inside the tunnel. and we didnt find anything. my advice is to get familiar with thapi codes. its a good start.
hope this will be of any help. happy hunting.

Ok, I will take picture when I'll return there and after some analysis, as it is very far from my location.
@homefire--Yes, lately it has a gold rush nearby(2miles). The rock is a kind of loose rock.
@hobgob--Thanks for the advice, In that tunnel there was nothing in there, not even a timber for the tunnel support. It was really clean.

on japanese abaca plantation area they use the abaca sap as hardener filler for the tunnel walls to harden. thats there purpose planting hundred hectars of land in mindanao. its for the war effort and the manila hemp or rope is just the waste material. they use it in cement and hardening tunnel walls. so theres no need of timbering. specially in elevated dry areas.

interesting. next time bring proper gear, especially lightening equipment, get a 12 volt fully charged motorcycle bat. 10 watt florescen light, long wire,in order not to have any flashlight problems anymore. tunnels like that have no timber, no relics, you need to check how deep the water goes, measure it in meters, take a rock/rope and see to it how deep it is.
whats the direction of the entrance ? (east, west, north, south) ? as always very important.

make pictures - lots of them ! outsite and inside

NEVER MENTION THE LOCTION !

a entrance on,in,a river - stream - you better go back ! be properly equipped and work it !

how much in % was it filled with water ?      even situations like that, you might eventually (not certainly- possibly) find a sign that looks or should look like an EEL , or maybe more like a adult toy, but represents an EEL, hint - depending the markers you may find, it could be the tunnel is empty, yet there is something then close by...should you be lucky to find the eel, you almost done. EEL means diamonds, usually 2 eyes, one of it will point to the direction of the deposit, the open eye, not the close eye...
again - its a possibility ! yet a proven one.

as always - be careful ! gd luck !

You bring a metal detector/scanner so that you will know what's inside.
If not available try a simple pendulum.  Tie a 24k ring with a thread and let it swing and it will direct  towards the object, once you are in the center it will turn around.
Try other rings made of silver, diamond etc. to know what other objecs are inside.
God bless you.

Also, you may tie a bullet as pendulum to detect the presence of  gunpowder(explosive materials) usually buried with the objects to deter prospective hunters.

God bless you and happy hunting.

PS. Explosive materials are not the only hindrance, there are chemicals, big boulders, water, etc.

Wyan,   my advice is look for any sign, marker or symbol on the boulders/rocks or century old trees found/located near the entrance of said tunnel.  By the way what is the history of that place during WW2, is it near to a Japanese Imperial Army camp or garison?
