Any idea how to break into it without using heavy equipment?  We found one of them buried in my grandfather's land in the mountain side.  Before finding it, (above ground) there's this Japanese sign/symbol of a sun-like curve (circle/square with rays around it).

goldskies:
Not going to lie to ya. The stuff is very hard. If it is Japanese Bunker grade II cement, then a sledge hammer will practically bounce off. Most of the personal sites have gold encased in this stuff. Actually, it is harder than steel. In some of the deeper sites, gold might be buried in a steel case then covered with this type of cement.

You can use acid. However, it is very expensive. Something like P200-250,000 per gallon. Or, you might want to try using Betonamit non-explosive cracking agent. Another one is expanding liguid lime agent which also cracks the stone. With the cracking agents, you will need to drill holes in the stone 1 1/4, 1 3/8 or 1 1/2 is preferred. As far as drill bits go - only a diamond drill bit will do.

This is all I know or have used personally. Maybe some other treasure hunters will chime in if they have anything that will work better and faster.

  Hope this helps.

it's very simple, keep in mind that cement used on wwII by japanese compared todays concrete cement is harder it's just a mixture. so, it's not true that concrete cement made by japanese on wwII is harder on todays cement. wwII japanese hardware concrete vaults for ammos and other explosives where stored were not as harder than concrete military supply vaults on this time. wwII cement where treasure hunters encountered buried deep on the ground where only their imaginations coz they think that's treasure vault. very obvious, that if the yammytreas hunter encountered a cement that is easy to break they will think that's not japanese cement. it was engraved in their mind that concrete treasure vaults made by japanese on wwII were super hard conclusions were made that it's a chemically bonded mixtures. but it's their belief without laboratory result nor examinations made. so, any finds o treasure huntings must be scientifically analyzed or subjected to laboratory examinations to avoid confusion or to get reliable information. futher, it is a must that treasure hunter should have enough money to spend.

The more money that you have to search for Yamoshita's Treasure means the more money wasted on this Hoax! Before you waste any more of your time and hard earned money, do some research on how and where Marcos STOLE his money from! It CERTAINLY was not in the main from this treasure Hoax. If you want a chance of making real money, invest in a quality metal detector and search the many areas of Samar and Mindanao that readily produce a good Gold return from your efforts. Surely you can realise that there have been many attempts and expensive searches regurarly undertaken over the last 50 years. What have they found???
Only excuses!!! Marcos spent hundred's of millions of Dollars over a very long time using the best equiptment available along with the most experienced searchers and what did he end up with??? One gold Buddha stolen from a poor peasant farmer. There is the Evidence out there showing where he really got his wealth from. A huge scam involving stealing the Nation's Gold from their own Mint! Dream on!

yup, that's the truth. i know it very well i'm in the phiippines. pilipinos and professionals knows that yammytreas in philippines is a nationwide scam. just a folkstale that yammy believers want to make it real. yammytreas is just fm scapegoat to his unexplained wealth. in philippines there's only two ways to make instant millionaire, 1.-you hit the lotto jackpot. 2.-you found the yammy treas. yammy believers is a long time ago dream to be an instant millionaire until now no one found the folkstale. in lotto, countless were blessed to be an instant millionaire but you must have a money to spend in betting. in yammy just shovel, or convince a financier you only fabricate a story that your target is positive site and voila! you have a money! not from yammy, from the financiers....heheheheh!

Dick44:
In my belief and experience yamashita treasure does exist. And its not for every treasure hunter.why?it takes good knowledge and experience to read and interpret  those codes and markings and plot each details on a graph.does it end there?NO.you'll have to do more.you have to check your direction, depth, distance and angle always etc.etc.etc.take a sample of your concrete and bring it to a testing laboratory for analysis and if its real concrete then ask them what they can recommend to break your concrete.
