I'm so tired of this one. It's nothing but a Toilet tank Float. I've lived in some Backassward countries before and find it hard to believe people believe this stuff.
I lived in Turkey back in the 60's! People I talked to would show up with Roman Coins, Rock Cannon Balls and all kinds of stuff. These folks didn't have Electric, Refrigeration, Smoked Hash (NO BEER) and got on with life. Who is going to think a Plastic ball is full of Goodies?

Ya know Mate there must be so many hidden Treasures in the Philipines and I'm not Talking about the Yammy Stories but real Historic finds that have yet to be discovered, with a country so old and being surrounded by so many other Historic Countries, These people waste their lives playing scam games, Lord knows what Ancient Treasures are burried there.

Folks, stop harassing these guys. The ball DOES exist. It is made of glass, not a toilet float. The fact remains that they can see it, touch it and shake it to hear a rattle, which is alleged to be a diamond inside. A green diamond. They photograph it, the hand it around for inspection and they truly believe there is some treasure inside but the glass cannot be broken - or so goes the legend. Why? Because inside is poison gas which will kill the person opening it.
Oh, dear. The ultimate fraud. This is not a case of the owner being fraudulent. They are victims who truly believe from the bottom of their feet that they have treasure. Or more appropriately, that they MIGHT have treasure. When you mock them or make jokes, you insult them personally about something they believe. Rather than do that, why not take time to explain this to them? They probably purchased it. Or some relative purchased it. Or even found it. Much like those who send out computer viruses, the people who made these things are laughing but cannot see their victims. All they can see, if they look hard enough, is us throwing dirt on them.
Can we all be a little kinder on these things and explain that THEY have been defrauded and sympathize with them instead of making them feel worse? It would bring both you and them some peace of mind in this kind of thing. The same thing goes for the FRBs and to some extent the Yammy treasure maps.
