Does anyone know if "Yamashita" ever had any treasure buried in Borneo island? If so, any information as to the types of marker stones and their meanings would be most appreciated.

Yes, there are a few finds here in Sabah for the past years. Remember most of the looted treasure were from Indochina and from there to the Philippines the Japs must passed through the northern part of Sabah.  So don't be surprised some Japs may find it is better to land here then to carrying on their journey to the Philippines since the American were also landed in the Philippines.

Need to know more?

Treasure hunting is a very sensitive issue under Malaysian law specially if you really did find something..........all your finds may end up into the National Bank for custody indefinitely. So all treasure hunters always keep their mouths shut....very tight ... if they happened to find something big.

After almost 20 years of first getting to know about the gold buried by the Japanese Imperial Army I must say IT IS REAL pals. Finally, I can lay on hands on those lovely yellow metals. A site was recovered recently (June 2009) on Banggi Island, the north of Sabah (North Borneo) and .........it is a hell of weight........xx tons!!! I am a Malaysian and please try to understand Malaysian Law as far as treasures is concern.......... We used the Gold Gun AL-718 gold detector and this piece of equipment is so accurate and reliable that as if Angels had answered our prayers.

Regards to you all!
