Hi to all

I & my family found some stone with engravings and we don't know if this is done by human or by nature itself.

If this is by human can you help me identify the meaning of this.

Thank you!

They are not engravings unless they have been chiseled in by the hand of a human being. As these appear, none are so. The straight lines are most likely man made but not engravings. They look like piton crevices to me. Those are used for securing ropes during climbing.

In all cases, natural marks are always non regular or non linear. In other words, look for very straight lines, letters or shapes. Do not consider a wavy "X" looking erosion mark to be man made. A very straight one, perhaps.

Do you want to hear a story? This one is very, very true. In almost every year since I started detecting, which is more than 40 years ago, I have found in excess of $5,000 per year by simply coin and relic hunting. This year, I have 4 buckets full of coins and the year is not over yet. None of these have been found by following any kinds of marks on trees or rocks.

I read stories about people in the Philippines searching their for entire lives based on signs and this process of "scanning" and never even finding a single coin or ring. There is no magic scanner. There is no chance that anyone buried treasure anywhere on this earth and carved directions to it in stone or on a tree. Buy yourself an inexpensive metal detector and start looking for your treasure one coin at a time. I promise you, if you keep at it for a year, you will more than pay for your detector over that year. Look for treasure based on rock erosion and you will remain a seeker, never a finder.

Thanks for the reply.

The only thing I have been encourage to seek for this signs because I have been negotiated by a Malaysian, Korean and American nationals who visited our land and will purchase our land for a million/hectare. Our land is located at a hilltop.

I already found square nails about a foot long, a tea cup and a bunch of sea shells on this hilltop.

Id say the rock marks are man made. Have a good search on your lands before selling.

First two photo's I don't have a clue.

Second two, looks like some one cut the rock as I've seen for mining or as a Star Case and planks would have been placed in the cuts to stand on.  Sorta squirrely but they did it.

I would need a photo of the over all situation to see what was going on.  I just see a few Boulders and not the whole situation.

American Indians did sorta the same thing going up clift sides.

I must say, this is the first Yammi thing that I can say could have happened.    Thank You!

Sure would like to see a photo of the hole hill side. Clapp Shocked

If they are, they are spikes, not nails.

If you don't know what they are or why they are there, how can they be associated with the Yamashita stories?

Are you falling into the dark side, mate? Quickly now. Go towards the light.

He asked what they mean. Probably nothing since they are piton crevasses.

S

Since your inventory states that you have a Gemini 3, Garrett and Nokta, why do you still require assistance with respect to metal detectors? Scan, baby...scan!
