Really? You believe that a retreating, nearly defeated army of soldiers who had waged a 3 year campaign on your soil took the time do draft a decoder map for you?

Absurd.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

more likely they were field notes outlining a battle strategy or reporting movements related to a battle that had just been fought--probably the latter.   They look like typical after action diagrams submitted as part of reports to superiors.

Most folks in the Japanese Military would rather come up with all kinds of Crap knowing they would be beheaded or more for Surrender.

That ignores the fact that from 1931 until September 1942 the Japanese Imperial Army was practically unstoppable.  Up until September 7, 1942 when the Australians managed to stop the Japanese at Milne Bay in New Guinea, the only ones who had been able to successfully stop them in a "major" battle were the Soviets during the Japanese Soviet Border conflicts between 1935 and 1939---and that's basically ALL they did --- stop them from advancing.    Especially don't forget that the Japanese managed to run pretty much rough-shod over the Americans and the Filipinos between December 8, 1941 and May 8, 1942.   The allies did not complete the liberation of the Philippines until AFTER the Japanese surrendered in Tokyo harbor in August 1945.   During that time period from 1931 to 1945, lot's of reports would have been written and forwarded to headquarters -- and some of those reports are were going to be of victories.   That is the way of ALL armies.

Ruel Bojoy,  That is a very large treasure deposit buried in very very deep complicated tunnel with full of bobby traps supervised by a Lt. General, and the 3 stars sign means Gen Yamashita"s treasure.  In my humble opinion.   .   .  rey

Ive looked at the symbols and although chinese and japanese is not my area of understanding I have noticed a few things, firstly I looked at the tree so presumed to read it that way, next to the tree there is 5 lines that could represent days or steps because the chinese used horizontal lines to show numbers usually days. I also noticed the same symbol a few times a cross with one semi circle on either side this is the symbol of the tree, without the flicks it is understood to mean GOD? The 3 arrows at the side of the piece have the same 4 digits LXKC not too sure about the last two there not clear but they are probably there because someone has tried to decipher it before. The wierd thing is that there is OGNAM symbols Druid tree language, in there and some Eygptian symbols one of which is the symbol of ISIS Another Osiris The 3 stars show the elements, at first I was surprised there were only 3 and they arn't circled never the less it could symbolise the triad, i say this because the above symbols show again the tree, possibly the tree of life or the connection to a direction the following symbol is a Japanese symbol for the moon and the next is either Jupiter/March or Feb also there is a possibility one of them means an eye, there seems to be reference to a daughter. Much of the writing is in glyph format but some is circular which suggests its a later period. That's all i can get I'm afraid.
