Good info Alan , and very helpfull, I soaked a whole bunch of silver coins in some silver cleaning solution and left them in it too long, I am going to try the electrolosys see what happens................Hh..........Johnnn.

Not to nitpick, but I have been a proofreader most of my life, (except of course for my own posts). So I want to point out that you misspelled "Sterling" in this sentence as well as "jewelry". It's the last sentence of the Silver section. Jewelry is one of the most misspelled words in the English language (UK and American). It is usually mispronounced as jewlerry and is spelled as such.

Excellent article Alan, I already do use Electrolysis and find it great especially on horse shoes etc.... What I would like to know is how easy would it be to make a ultrasonic cleaner?
