$577.15's the proper price for the TESORO Sand Shark. However, the detector which costs USD1,295.95 is also named the sand shark (see URL in reply #3)  Grin

247 I do not see where it say's USD1,295.95 ,, Look's like a cheap toy

You are absolutely right...it is $247 and it is a cheap toy. The price I was referring to is further down the page in the finer print. Scroll down and you'll see:

Manufacturer: Treasure Hunter
Suggested Retail $1295.95
Manufacturer: Treasure Hunter -

It kinda looks like those "Treasure Vision" or "Viper Trident" cheapies I've seen around before.

They were selling those on ebay awhile back as sand sharks for around 200. I showed it to BA and we decided it was a Trident clone which has bad reviews.

If that is what you can afford go to Kellyco or another legit seller and buy a Ace 250 with all the little extras Kellyco throws in and be happy. The Ace 250 cost about $250 and is arguably the best bang for you buck.

And IMHO, it's still overpriced by $154.00  Grin

I have a similar unit and can vouch that it works to alleviate muscle aches after last weekend's digging (used the acupuncture setting, level 2 power).

At the beach here I use a CZ 21 and it works very well. Good depth, discrimination, and dual freq to deal with mineralzation.

Yep!  I have been talking with a lot of seasoned Michigan water hunters and the vast majority run an Excalibur or CZ-21...not everyone but the majority.  I've decided to try and run a season in the water with my AT Pro and see if I find alittle $$ to work toward a next season new water machine.  I do find the AT Pro is alittle difficult to swing once the electronic module is submerged....but I will deal with it.  Its the shaft shape and the large electronics module that cause the drag.  Might have one arm bigger then the other by the end of the season... Grin.

Good luck all....and would really like to hook up with some other Southwest Michigan hunters and do some early morning beach hunting.  I get out of work at 4:30AM in West Olive area.
