I'm also a newbie and the ACE 250 is easy to use and works great. I'm having  a lot of fun, so far.

Any ideas or thoughts on the ACE150? - The write up looks good.

My buddy has a ACE 150 which he bought just before I bought my 250. He told me he wished he had bought the 250 because it has more features that he needs. It has a lot better discrimination and can pinpoint a location much better than his can. We're going out soon to compare the two in an area where there should be a lot of coins. We'll see what happens.

I am so glad I found this site because of the enthusiasm and the advice so far. It is freezing and the ground is rock solid here in the highlands of Scotland so I have some time to gather information and purchase a suitable MD (see, I am already learning the lingo) before a new exploring season begins. Keep the info coming and MANY THANKS.
