Is the technology of LRD's in its brainstorming or prototype phase?

If the LRD's don't work, why are they allowed to be sold in the USA?  Shocked

On the other hand, can they be reviewed technically by metal detector engineers and experts to get improved its design and components in order to get them work properly?  Idea  Huh?

I don't think they can be classed as a metal detector Due to the fact that Metal detectors are like a giant Walkie Talkie
because they have send and receive channels so to speak and they respond to any metals within the field of detection.
LRLs can't work and don't work if you watch and listern you will see most user of LRLs spend more time talking than they
do digging, and as the USA government proved they dont work in a recent Court Case and those retailers were charged
with mail fraud as it is not illegal to sell them although it is illegal to distribute them via the US Mail Service.

That information is good to be posted in newspapers, magazines and other internet sites. Many people, new in this hobby, could wrongly believe that LRD's really work and could buy them if they do not have previously the proper data or information provided by all of you.  Clapp

I am evaluating to buy my first detector and I am in the process to evaluate all available legal, scientifically certified and tested affordable technologies that could help me start in this interesting hobby.  Great

No they been around for years you can find ad's for there sale way back in the 1960's treasure mag's

You can sale anything you want if people will buy it no laws yet for selling LRL's so all there is to stop them is the mail fraud laws.

They are not metal detectors they are dowsing instruments that wires meter's and a battery add to make folks think they work. Add to that the brainwashing the salesman gives them another believer is borne only to wake up with empty pockets and broken dreams.

Trust me I wish they worked, a large part of mine and several others here income comes from treasure hunting if they worked and I could narrow down a 10 sq. mile grid to a couple 100 ft. I could spend 5 days a year sleeping on the ground out in the middle of nowhere instead of 200 plus.

Thats about as true as it gets, and if it was that easy I'd put the kids on ebay and get one,
but they are as close to useless as useless can be and thats all that can be said really apart from
you have more chance of finding metal with a magnet than you do with one of those things
