Go Up Go Down

Down the road from me is a wooded area that used to be a well travelled road. Not sure as to when this road closed but, I'm certain it's ages ago.
Anyway, last year we took a walk down this now wooded area. I couldn't believe the junk that has been deposited here. I started looking around and to my surprise, There were bottles everywhere. I managed to grab some, take them home and clean them. Just a few days ago, I went back and collected a whole bunch more, somewheres near 40 more LOL. There is still tons to be gotten there but, Hubby says "NO MORE BOTTLES"
Anyhoot....Here are some pics.

First 2 pics are last years finds...

Amazing! How did you manage to find all these bottles?! I assume they were allready empty when found or this would lead to another question   Wink

Really an outstanding collection!

The only place where I have happened to find old bottles so far was in rivers and out in the forrest.

tollboxdiver, not looking to sell them just yet. But, maybe someday. Besides e-bay and I don't get along. I've never tried selling on there.

Christian.....These bottle are everywhere in this wooded area that I mentioned in my first post. It was once a road that is no longer in use and is now a forest / wooded area. I could walk in there and still pull out hundreds of bottles just sitting there waiting to be picked. Many have been broken and unfortunately, there's some nice pieces of pottery too but all smashed and many bottles smashed, especially the blue glass. I don't know why this area is full of these bottles. I'm guessing it became dumping grounds for people before recycling came along. I don't know and another weird thing about it is, they are mostly scattered to the left of this once road. Yes, they were all empty...some had some crud it in but, who knows what it was, I cleaned them out REAL good!
