I recently bought a TR from Meijer's on line.
They were closing them out at a low price.
I am quite impressed with the depth when in program 4.
It tests as deep as my F70 in my test garden.

Ive had one for quite some time and I like it my problem is batteries I need to keep a stock of batteries

I would got any good ideas on rechargables that are any good the ones Ive had experience with were not any good they didnt last long

Eneloop batteries come fully charged when you buy them and will maintain 80% of full charge for a year in storage. In use, they last as good as any NiMH battery does. I now use them exclusively. Too bad they don't have a 9v version yet.

Want longer lasting? Go with NiCad. They don't self discharge in a matter of hours like NiMH do. There's only a tiny difference in the amp hour capacity but a great deal of difference in the discharge curve. Low amperage devices like the 9v battery are better in NiCad.
