I warn folks only once , the next time the muts came back it's "BANG" it's dead.

had people say well ill give u $5 bucks for the chicken , I look at them and say $5 bucks is nothing compared to what it's going to cost u when we go to court.  Grin  Grin  Grin

Folks can't keep up with their dogs, then they dont need to have them. had one guy loose his day in court
I had video footage of his dog killing over 30 birds it cost him $ 530.00 per bird plus court cost, his neighbor told me as soon as he got home from court that day he shot and killed all 3 of his dogs.

We keep the coop locked up tighter than a frog's @$$  Grin
We let the girls run around the back yard when we're home, and the back yard is all fenced in. We live in a suburban area, so we only have a 1/2 acre lot. We only have about 2-3 dogs that run around in our neighborhood, and none of them have the sniff (yet) for hens. Our main concern where I'm at is those pesty racoons! From what we've read in the chicken forums they have about as much intelligence (and strength) as a 3-yr old kid, so you have to make the appropriate changes to your coop to prevent them from getting in. We have rats too, but they only go for the chicken feed. I heard though that at times rats have been known for killing chickens.

Zul rats will eat the eggs in the chicken runs and if they have young two rats will take an egg by one laying on its back holding

the egg with all for feet while the other rat pulls it by the tail back to the nest, and i know it sounds crazy but i have seen

them do it more than once

Some day I'll get a few more chicks.   At the Right Time, at the right price, when we have a bit more money.

You free range your chickens and you will never have goat heads.  They eat the flower and they die out.

Yes Homie they can soon turn a garden into a mud bowl, we use to have many pens for them, so when they have striped

one place you can move them to another that way the ground has a chance to recover

Poisoning a Dog is just plain MEAN!

I made enemies with someone down the road and they poisoned two of my dogs with Antifreeze.   Most UnCool to see.

The good ol .22 works first time every time and it happens real fast.   NO PAIN!

yep, But i did'nt think a .22 had enough sting in its tail, mind you some of them 22s rounds do have a speed up around 1100fps

so they would do the job ok, Homie can you get silencers for your .22s over there
