camp in that 5th wheel we bought early last month ? I've been fixing on it and i believe its usable for  the lake here near us for now. Its only 7 miles home if it fails us. This lake here will be a test run for it. I'll see you guys tomorrow, got up early today. later guys...

Yep we got one two well a travel trailer , not a 5th wheel but it does really well i can't complain, put a ton of miles on it since we got the thing a few years ago. we bought it thinking it would be just the two of us going since all the kids are grown now , boy were we wrong !!      We spend more time with the kids now camping than we did when they were at home      , but it's been great and everyone loves it.

Cache best advice I can give u is to repack ur wheel bearings and add bearing buddies that u can use a grease gun on before every trip to ensure u have enough grease in them.

if it's mine ur asking about it's the box or camper is 24feet long,if u include the tounge and rear bumper etc it's total length is 29 feet. the the truck is 18.44feet, with out the hitch so all together  it's somewhere close to 49 feet or so .

I personally would never ever pull a bumper pull trailer with a box over 26 feet.

Anything longer than that  I would have to go with a 5Th wheel and a F350 Dully Truck !! but that's just me, and I say that cause I have seen lots and lots of campers get flipped on the interstate by drivers who are going way to fast with a trailer too long for their vehicle , they either round a corner too fast or get hit with the buffeting winds from a big rig etc and bam their laying on there side in the middle of the interstate.  

There is a chart it's put out every year in cooperation with the govt, and the camper industries and the motor vehicle companies,  and it tells u what is recommended for your vehicle whats the largest trailer by height x weight x length x width etc that a particular vehicle with certain Eng, trans, options etc, that it can pull SAFELY !!


The bad thing is - most of the Camper places don't use it or care too, all they see is dollar signs
all they care about is if it fits into the weight range of Ur vehicle they don't care about the other factors.  all they want is a SALE and all they see are $$$$ ,

well I guess I am ranting again - sorry bout that !

No special licence required for an RV 5Th wheel or Travel Trailer or Motorhome is required.

even though there should be a driving class but there isn't.
