Well now you have some new Ideas but dont forget to use that stuff for covering water pipes so they will absorb the shock
and your detector wont get shook apart with vibration, that stuff is called Hypollon?? here I think

Thanks John the pipe insulation is a excellent idea, the gun racks are usualy already coated with something like that - but using that could make it fit better!

Karl you could make some rubber bands out of car innertubes and making bands out of 1" strips to hold the detector/s in the rack
also so if you hit a rough patch they will stay in place,

So today they layed new phone line to the shop. They cut thru the old to the house and we lost everthing. They had to dig a hole to fix the old till they hook up the new. They used my Harbor Freights pin-pointer to locate the old wire. For 16.99 they do great. Have'nt even had a chance to use it MD-in yet.

You know the saying...if I did'nt have bad luck...I'd have no luck at all. But truth be known, I feel like the luckest man in the world having my life saved not once but twice and retiring at 50 needing nothing but good freinds and family...oh, and my metal detector...
