but just a good deal slower than Roadrunner.

I got used to it, but yes downloads sometimes took a little while, depending on size of the download. I also had an old time PC with hardly no memory and a old chip, and sported windows 98SE. (I had that set up right up to about 6 months ago)

I suppose if I would have had a newer PC like the one I have now, that dial up really wouldn't have been all that bad, especially for the cost of $9.99 per month via netscape. When I cancelled, they told me to stay and that I could have the service for about $5.00 per month.

To be honest, I've heard that people are going back to dial up due to there current situations and lack of work. I sure hope that they stop raising the cost of high speed, or I may even think about it. (Not) lol  Grin

Cheers,
Jim

We're waiting on the kids to get out of school.  My son said if we would wait, he would pull my jeep up there behind his pickup and then he and his family will vacation there.  I've got a corolla too so I said sure, fine with me.

Well, I've kinda committed to it, as I shipped all my junk to my daughter's house up there.  But that doesn't mean if all else fails I can't hightail it back to Texas.  What I would like to do is work and play in the North summer and fall and work and play in the South come the winter and spring.
