Most police officers are good people and are in it because they want to make a difference in their communities.

Then there are a few who do it for the power trip / and a few who turn bad.

but they are never in it for the money in some communities they actually make less than a school teacher.

I also believe that most bad officers get weeded out although sometimes it takes a while.

Here in Tennessee most police departments are understaffed even with the funds available to hire more officers

there are simply not enough graduating from the academy or those willing to move to fill the void.

Not sure what the answer is.  But with gangs moving further out to smaller communities and more mobile meth

labs etc. Moving into rural areas something needs to be done about it.

Here in New Mexico you Fear Police if your smart.   Bottom line is most are within the Cartel or on the take.   If they can Take they do.  The days of trusting anyone with a Stipe on there pants is Way Over.   The Last thing you want to do is call the LEO!   You stand as much of chance of getting cuffed as the Bad man you called about.    We just don't go there any more around here.

Ha ha he is not getting mine.  His dad already broke my old one.

and i watch him 9 hours a day 5 days a week sometimes 7 days a week.

So i can tell one little boy is definitely more rambunctious than 3 girls.

He wears me out most days.

Our new neighbors down the street just moved here from Florida.
There both 60 and 62 . He's working Walmart and as a real estate agent.
She's working for a florist.  They moved for that exact reason to be near the
grandkids.  All though I think I would have stayed in Florida.  LOL
in all actuality I probably would move too.
