If I was going to spend a lot of money to buy my own private Island I would like it a little more functional than just a pile of rock. And in a warmer location.

Consider a south sea island, picture yourself fishing with your home made spear.  Ah the good life, no taxes, no government, no one to bother you, except those headhunters up north but they are far away.  The pirates leave you alone because you have nothing they want.  Your old 27 foot fishing boat with sails doesn't look like a pirate prize.  There is just you and your lovely girl friend.  Time to get to know one another and have fun for a change.  You build a grass hut to live in while working on your tree house.  One day a note is found on your front door post.  Your island has been annexed and is now part of some damn government and guess what they want back taxes or else.  Your dream begins to come apart for a fleeting time you thought you had beat the system...
