Ok, here goes.  I had a great one about a huge fresh dog turd but it looks like that's been done a couple of times.  Sooo......I guess I'll go with this particular worst find even though I as well as the  others have had many I'm sure.

There had been a house that had been dozed to make way for a parking lot in my area.  I had obtained permission to hunt it and spent 2 days on the property.  The first day and a half was nothing but trash actually filled two trash bags with various junk and trash items.  Found two wheats out of the whole place the few other coins that i had found had been bent by heavy equipment.  After looking the lot over I had decided to try one other area of it before I left and then that's where it happened.  A very consistant signal nice and loud.  Seemed like a very hot signal and rather large, visions of a cache ran through my head as i started to dig carefuly where the detector had pinpointed.  Couldn't seem to find it at first.  Checkced again and then decided to probe since the detector seemed to think it was about 8" or so across in size.  After probing it seemed to be just where the detector said it would be.  I enlarged to hole to retrieve my find and when I finally unearthed my prize.....

Imagine my surprise when i unearthed a One gallon can of paint stripper that was slowly leaking into the ground.  That leaking one gallon can of stripper was one of my worst finds...bad odor as well.  I bagged it and disposed of it in a proper way.  Just one of the ways that metal detectorists help protect the enviroment.

I suppose my worst find was a metal thing that looked like an old cigarette holder. I was doing a park by the police dept and was along a sidewalk when an officer pulled up and stopped. He was just curious as to what I'd found as he'd seen me detecting there earlier. I showed him my finds and he took my cigarette holder - it was a dope pipe. Sue

what ever happened to this guy he is holding the other winners prize up  Shocked where did he go going to give him two more days if not will pick another winner these packages are getting dusty if a new winner is annouced the 300 credits have already been put into nightjars account so if a new winner is picked sorry no 300 credits hope you all understand
