noob has 1235-X,can"t find manual so i printed 1225-X manual the only differance i see is 1235-X has freq +-5 control what does it do??gimp55

Hi gimp55,

I don't know that model too well sorry but I have heard very good reports about it. Here's Fishers manuals for most of these discontinued models. It's possible your model is closer to the 1236X, so give that one a check out.

I think the +/-5 knob control your speaking about, is the frequency shifter. It allows you to switch and adjust your frequency over to another, when there's another detector running the same or close frequency next to you that could interfere with your machine. (It's a great feature when hunting close by others, or on a competition hunt in close quarters)
